Give to the Catalyst Fund

Through the generosity of thousands of donors, the Hawai‘i Community Foundation is able to make a difference in the lives of Hawai‘i’s people every day. These generous gifts allow HCF to build networks and identify organizations across the state who are seeking and implementing innovative solutions to systemic problems.

Never before in HCF’s history has unrestricted support, like that generated through the Catalyst Fund, have such profound potential to impact the future of Hawai‘i’s people.

The Catalyst Fund supports gathering and synthesizing the data that identifies the community issues that require dedicated attention within the CHANGE Framework. Catalyst funds are used to underwrite projects needing early funding and enables immediate response to urgent community needs or unanticipated opportunities.

In short, gifts to the Catalyst Fund will fuel the collective and magnify the power of our philanthropy.

In Return

Donors will be given every opportunity to understand the impact their gift is having through personal interactions with HCF staff and community leaders, small events, and other communications.

Gifts of $5,000 or more are encouraged and will be recognized on HCF’s website as a Catalyst Fund supporter. You can find the current list here.

And, along with knowing you are making positive CHANGE possible, you will have the deepest gratitude of the HCF ‘ohana, whose work you are making possible.

Ways to Give

HCF welcome gifts of $5,000 or greater to the Catalyst Fund. Gifts may be made online, through the transfer of appreciated assets or qualified charitable distributions.
