On September 23, the Hawai‘i Community Foundation and Hawai‘i Estate Planning Council hosted a webinar with guest speaker Christopher R. Hoyt, J.D., Professor of Law at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law.
Professor Hoyt’s humor and expertise captivated 150 attendees as he shared his tax smart charitable giving strategies, including “bunching gifts” with donor advised funds, qualified charitable distributions from IRAs, and naming a charitable remainder trust as a beneficiary of an individual retirement’s account.
